Product with RAW
Data?
NOTE: The latest Infot install program (install.exe) can install the raw data (MDB files) onto your hard disk, however, you need specify it explicitly since you may want to copy (unzip) those files into your "My Documents" folder. To let the installer unzip and copy those files for you, just check the "checkbox" before them when you install the product from the CD-ROM. (See below) Infot Installer is not included in the downloaded packaged or the compressed CD-ROM version of DVD products.
For other information about the Infot Installer, please check this article.
Raw data is in MS Access format (MDB file)
The raw data in MS Access format (MDB file) of the product you purchased usually are on the same CD-ROM (or DVD-ROM) you received for the standard release. You usually see a mark on the CD-ROM cover says "MS ACCESS FILE INCLUDED".
1) The MDB files are on the root of the disc, for example, "D:\" where D: is your CD-ROM drive (DVD-ROM drive)
2) The MDB files can be compressed as zip files, with the similar name of its standard release, such as "auyp.zip" or "auypmdb.zip". You need a de-compress software such as "WinZip" or "WinRAR" to "UNZIP" them first.
3) You need copy (or UNZIP) the file to your hard disk before you open the "MDB" file with MS Access. If you open a MDB file on CD-ROM /DVD-ROM directly using MS Access, the database will be "Read-Only" and you won't be able to change them, even create a new query.
4) If you let the Installer "install" the MDB files (zipped or not), they are to be installed to the same directory of those standard format TBB format database files. Usually, the directory is "C:\Infot\dbs\" but you can change it when you run the install program.
5) You need a MS Access 2000 or later version to open those MDB files and the software is not included or provided by Infot. If you can not open the MDB file installed on your hard disk, please contact us for support using this form.
Problem?
Can't found the MDB file? If not installed, they are located on the ROOT of the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, compressed or not. If compressed, it's in extension of "ZIP" or RAR. After installed, you should search your hard disk for them.
Can not open the MDB file? Always copy (install) the MDB files to your hard disk before open them. CD-ROM is not a reliable media for frequently accesses.
Can not open the MDB file on hard disk? If you met any problem during the copying or installation, try it again. Check the version of your MS Access and make sure it's 2000 or later. Still in trouble? contact us for support using this form.
