version (2.0x-2.4x)

The new version (2.50) of Intbit Business Directory Explorer will be released together with the last build of CCDX in July 2001.

This version provides some new and enhance features and support more data format. Compatible with the old format database files after 2.0.
- improved categories management, supporting large-sized categories (up to 500,000) in very fast speed, especially for the Global business directory and other directory with more than 10,000 categories.
- improved searching interface. Allow use the "+" or "&" to search more than key words while use "-" to exclude some words. For example, you can use "carpet rug +handmade-nylon" to search all handmade carpets or rugs except that the nylon.
- improved history management
- support the patches which are the updates (data changes) released independent in text format. It also contains the user-changed data so the main database can stay on CD-ROM or other read-only media.

Released from Jan. 2001.
from version 2.00, all editions of the directories share the same browser (Intbit directory explorer) and the database are compressed into one file (.ddb) to smaller size and easy management.

Version 1.4x

Released from July. 2000.
this version came with the MailSender tools which allow user send one email to many receivers without using the CC or BCC field. GB Chinese version & English version share the same code.

Version 1.0x-1.3x

Release from Feb. 1999.
Those versions are no longer supported. If you bought CD-ROM in those versions, please contact us for free upgrade. See upgrades & Updates for more information

How to upgrade

All users with legal copy of the old versions can obtain the upgrade version together with the updated database files free.

• For some versions with small sizes, users can get the the new package via email or downloading online.
• For those with size bigger than 10MB, users can request a new CD-ROM. (The shipping & handling fee is 10USD per Copy)
